Egg Hunt Practice!

It has been so much fun teaching Brooke all about hunting for Easter Eggs. We have hid them in the house and now had a practice run at a friends house too. 4 of us girls get together often with our kiddos (all within 5 months of each other) and this past week we went to Julie's house where she had an Egg Hunt. The kids had a blast hunting eggs and then frosting cupcakes and eating them! YUM! I'm not going to lie...it was hard to get her to stop eating all the yummy candy in the eggs!! :) This girl definitely has my sweet tooth! Brooke and Melaina blowing bubbles!

Springtime Fun!

You gotta love this time of year when you get to peel off the winter shell and feel the warmth of the sun beating down. We are still having some chilly days but overall, Spring is here!! We are all like little flowers, putting our heads up to the sun every time we're outside. It's always great to see all the neighborhood kids out again. It reminds me of when I was growing up in Mississippi and we would ride our bikes and hang out on our street till our Moms yelled for us to come home for dinner. That is the same feel here and I love it.

At a birthday party that was held at the local batting cages. One of our neighbors own it and they had one of the cages set up so that little ones like Brooke could hit! So fun...she did great!

No More Diapers!!

We are so excited and quite honestly still in shock that our little girl is no longer wearing diapers!! I feel like this is such a huge milestone because she has now gone from little girl to big girl!! I started the whole potty training process on Friday and she caught on right away! By Tuesday, she was off to school with her big girl undies and had a great day of using the potty there. We no longer are using diapers during her naps or bedtimes...so this chick is diaper free! YEAH....we are so proud of her!! It will be great when our new baby girl is here that they both won't be in diapers. WHEW!

It's a.......

GIRL!! We are SO thrilled that we are going to have 2 daughters!! There is such a special bond between siblings and I certainly know the sister bond. I am so excited for Brooke and this baby to grow up with each other!! Sitting in the ultrasound and seeing our healthy baby girl...there is no better feeling than hearing that everything looks great. Scott and I were holding hands and just praying that this little person is healthy and growing. She was moving all around and showing us how strong she is. We feel so blessed and cannot wait to meet her!!! 20 weeks!!
